The next 4 and 5 October will take place Garage Sale Solidarity, a pop-up 2nd hand market where you can find everything from clothes to furniture and decorative items, home furnishings and Christmas decorations and also sports equipment, among other items.
The ground floor of the Daguisa Tulip Inn Andorra Hotel Delfos (Avinguda del Fener, 17 in Escaldes-Engordany) will be open both days from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
All the items that can be found there have been donations received in recent weeks and will be put up for sale at very attractive prices. In this way, all the profit from the sales will be allocated, on the one hand, to the project in Afghanistan, where unicef has been collaborating since 2022. The entity helps establish community-based education classes and provides learning supplies as well as teacher training. Unicef conducts trainings on the rights of women and girls to religious academics and on the negative impacts of harmful traditional practices where the sessions focus on child marriage and gender-based violence.
On the other hand, and by the movement #twelvetwelve will be distributed among the protagonist NGOs of the 2nd semester of this year among which We cross borders (project for the collection and delivery of food, personal hygiene products, school supplies and other basic necessities, for the Sahrawi camps in Tindouf (Algeria), Dogs (for the shelter of abandoned dogs waiting to be adopted), Andorran Red Cross (with the "Disconnect to connect" camps for vulnerable adolescents), ATIDA (to give visibility to the importance of organ donations and to the donors) i Cooperand (with its educational projects in Bolivia).
