Looking ahead to the year 2024 when the new taxation will come into force in Andorra, new fiscal opportunities are opening up both directly for NGOs and ENLs (social, cultural or sporting), as well as for other companies that collaborate with them. This program affects these changes in the new tax regulations and their practical application.

Targets

Explain the opportunities the new taxation opens up and grow the resources of non-profit entities, without forgetting the new obligations it will entail.

Explore different ways of collaboration between NGOs/ENLs and companies or individuals to know the needs and expectations of each party and to be able to find actions win-win.

Who is it aimed at?

Managers and technicians of public administrations, private institutions, non-profit institutions and associations, in charge of the management of the entity or more defined areas such as the management of communication projects, fund mobilization, finance, CSR, ….

People interested in supplementing their personal training to intervene in social projects in Andorra and/or international cooperation and humanitarian action as a tool for social transformation.

Methodology

Face-to-face sessions at the University of Andorra where the theoretical parts will be combined with practical cases.

The vehicular language of the program is Catalan.

The teaching staff of this program includes professionals with expertise in taxation and finance and in the world of communication and fundraising for the third sector.

BLOCK 1: OPPORTUNITIES OF THE NEW TAXATION

1.1 Legal framework: Introduction to the new tax legislation and regulations affecting NGOs and ENLs in Andorra

1.2 Practical cases: Learn how to apply the new law on a daily basis, know how and what it will relieve, new obligations...

1.3 Opportunities in fundraising: Learn about examples of actions and campaigns to take advantage of the opportunities that the new tax law opens up for NGOs and ENLs.

BLOCK 2: COMPANIES AND ENL, HOW TO COLLABORATE?

2.1 Collaborations with NGOs: How to design campaigns win-win between companies and NGOs

2.2 Cultural patronage: Learn from the experts how to collaborate between the private sector and the cultural sector taking advantage of the new legal framework

2.3 Sports sponsorships: Know the advantages that the new taxation can bring to sports sponsorships

Duration and schedule

The course lasts 19 hours, which will take place at the University of Andorra, according to the following schedule:

  • Tuesday 7/11 (session 1.1) and Tuesday 14/11 (session 1.2) from 6 to 8.30 pm with Toni Casanovas (Supervisor of the taxation area of OCPS Assessors Tributaris and professor at the UdA)
  • Friday 24/11 from 5 to 9 p.m. (session 1.3) and Saturday 25/11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (session 2.1) with David Monllau (MBA and Degree in Business Administration and Management by ESADE, Postgraduate in International Development by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Executive Program in NGO Management and Management at ESADE.Since 2008, he has combined different positions in NGOs such as Médecins sans Fronteres Spain (the last 6 years as Director of Fundraising), in MSF on the ground ( South Sudan, Uganda, Haiti, DR Congo, Nigeria and Zimbabwe), and with other entities such as Fundació Comtal where he was the General Director).
  • Tuesday 23/01/2024 (session 2.2) from 6 to 9 p.m. with Mr. Javier Ferrer Morató – Manager of the Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga. Degree in law from the University of Malaga. His professional experience is mostly public, at the City Council of. Since March 2011, he has been the Manager of the Carmen Thyssen Málaga Museum.
  • Tuesday 30/01/2024 (session 2.3) from 6 to 9 p.m. (Speaker to be confirmed)

Certification

Students who have attended 80% of the seminar will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Small groups

The maximum number of participants is 35. This allows the student to enjoy personalized attention and guarantees compliance with current health measures. If there are more than 35 pre-registrations, the selection process will be in order of registration.

The course will be canceled if there are not a minimum of 8 registrations.
